FAQ

Q: Is it designed for the V6 or V8 Camaro?

ABoth.  The same Sport Bar fits the full Camaro convertible lineup.

Q: What kind of material is used to finish the Sport Bar?

A: We use vinyl from the GM original equipment supplier thus we are able to match both color and grain.

Q: What colors are available?

A: The Camaro
Sport Bar
will be launched first in GM Black utilizing part number:
1143-7000-01.  Other colors will be available soon based upon demand;
such as Orange Inferno, Grey, Beige, Carbon Fiber and Suede variants as well.

Q: Does the optional GM Accessory windstop still work with
the Camaro Sport Bar in place?

A: Yes, we considered the windstop as we designed the Sport Bar and both products work effectively in the same vehicle.

Q: What kind of clearance does it offer when the top is up?

A: We developed this bar with a 3/4” clearance so there is no
possibility of interference with the function of the convertible top.

Q: Will this bar offer roll-over protection?

ANo.  Camaro Sport Bars are for restyling purposes only and are not intended for rollover protection.

Q: What material is used to make the Sport Bar?

A: CDC Sport Bars and Light Bars are manufactured with 1-1/4″ tubular high-strength steel and solid urethane foam.

Q: What does this bar weigh?

A: 18lbs.

Q: Will the bar interfere with the recliner function?

A: No.  There is no physical possibility of seat-to-bar
contact.

Q: Is the visibility through the rear view mirror reduced at
all?

A: No, the design of this bar gives it a sleek, sporty look
without interfering with your rearward view.

Q: How are they mounted?

A: We mount these using our patent-pending E-coated steel bracket system which mounts directly to the metal structure of the B-Pillar.  This mounting process also provides additional structural rigidity to the vehicle’s chassis.

Q: How easy is it to install?

A: Our
installation instructions and templates will guide you through every step.  Some people also prefer to have them installed by one of our local Authorized Installers.

Q: Does it come with a third brake light?

A: No.  The design of
the Camaro convertible has addressed the need for a higher mounted brake
light.  The addition of another brake
light simply adds too much redundancy therefore we left it out.

Q: How much to they cost?

A: $469.00 + Shipping or $795 installed from Chevrolet Dealerships

Q: How quickly can I get one?

A: Upon completion of your order, we can usually ship the
very next business day.  Transportation
times vary, but 1-5 business days is a good estimate for anywhere within the
continental United States.
